God Sent Us Down Two Angels

God Sent Us Down Two Angels

God sent us down two angels, when most folks get just one;

But he saw the first needed a playmate, with him to jump and run!

So he looked down to His doggie mommy, and implanted in her a seed;

So she could birth his little Brother, who would fulfill his every need!

We went to go and get him, when he was just eleven weeks old;

You met him and you kissed him; then let him in your soul!

From that day on, you loved him dearly, as well as he did you;

You both became inseparable, you were like “one”, instead of two!

For twelve plus years you cavorted, and shared in all your joys;

People stopped to look in wonder, at our angelic “little boys”!

But then crept in an illness, that you could no longer fight;

And we lost our first dear angel, on a cold and wintry night!

Today, this date exactly, seventeen sad months ago;

Was the one you had to leave us, as Gabriel’s horn gave blow!

Now us and your little Brother, miss you dearly every day;

God sent us down two angels, but one has gone away!

WE MISS YOU NICO

We remember the heaven of you being in our arms

We remember how you always protected us from harm.

We remember your lovely sweet and kind eyes

Those beautiful windows to your soul.

We remember your beautiful smile

A sheer joy in our hearts to behold.

We remember how gentle your kisses were for us

We remember your soft cuddles when our bodies touched.

We remember the tender love you so beautifully gave

We remember how precious our love was, too treasured to break.

We remember when your doctor walked through the door

We remember each word he said when he told us you were going to leave us for sure.

We`ll always remember and treasure your love as we gaze at your photograph above

And we`ll always feel total emptiness and we just can`t hide it because we`ll always miss your sweet love.

For our little Nico

Auntie G loves you sweetie.

G xx

Our Dearest Georgina,

The most beautiful heartfelt response to this poem that one could ever ask for.  You have reached the core of our souls, as only a treasured poetic soulmate is able to do.  Mere words cannot portray our love and appreciation.  We are all bonded eternally.

Love from us both,
