Poem -

gods

“I said, You are gods”; and thus the flame; and thus the pain;
And so much this journey; and so much this life; and plat the
Voice—my seeking soul; and hunger fruit: a nectar sweet;
And thirst the grey: a wisdom slain; and fall to fly; and rise
To soar; and buried deep: a pier of light; and why the grief: a
Leaping frog; and why the hurt: a limping horse; and blood
To bone: a sturdy faith; and twain affect: the light of dark.

“I said, You are gods”; and thus a tear; and thus the fear;
And so much this legend; and so much this growth; and speak
The flare—my seeking soul; and ponder Love: a nectar pearl;
And flood the waves: a kettle cloud; and bend a knee; and fall
To dream; and reap the mind: a ghost aflame; and why the
Joy: a gift to fly; and why the wind: a Spirit soars; and man to
Cave: a subtle monk; and torn affect: the strength of Love.
