In days so lovely
A kindness
Sweeps over the shore
And those accustomed
To summer's song
Bask, in the warmth and glow
Of this day's gifts
Wrapping themselves up
In its perfect packaging
As if to sing
The praises of God's own seasons
And their reasons
For having been born
In days so lovely
No umbrellas needed
JustΒ soaring seagulls
To patrol the shore
Just happy people
To promote summer's song
I whisper softly to my love
She smiles, sinking her toes
Deep into the sand
Finding comfort
In God's own seasons

An understanding
A symbiosis
Warming my heart
Connecting me to every harmony
In summer's song
I sing along, feel transported
Into God's own garden

Its final comfort
Washes through my soul
Confirming

Our Dear Tony,
This beautiful poem you created as an everlasting remembrance of Cherie's and your honeymoon, brings tears to our eyes.Β We are sure that she will treasure it forever.Β It's beauty has inspired Larry to write a version of his own, as a gift to both of you, like us, two Soulmates who found one another later in life, but will now be together for eternity.Β We have titled it "The Season of Serenades".
