Goldie Bares
The girl staggered blindly, cold and alone,
Abandoned so young from a drug filled home,
Taken into care, the system to rot,
Her second chance, well it was not,
Her mind a tempest of mental ills,
Raised on a diet of alcohol and pills,
Abused by man and boy she fell,
Into the despair of her dark wishing well,
She fled, and now just played the game,
Goldilocks just a street corner name,
Her latest trick should have covered rent,
But an escape of class A release she'd spent,
And now, broken, shivering, emotionally lost,
She looked for cover from the winter frost,
Then a little cottage she stumbled upon,
She checked it out, the owners gone,
A smashed window and with body thin,
She cut and clawed until finally in,
She rifled the drawers and cupboards too,
Ignoring the three bowls of homemade stew,
Climbing three chairs she couldn't find it,
The one thing of value to buy her next hit,
So tired, deciding the big bed was best,
She laid down her shell for an overdue rest.
The "family" returned from their shoplifting spree,
Broken glass on the pathway is all they could see,
And in a rage of anger, bags dropped on the floor,
"Papa" grizzly smashed his way through the door,
The girl she awoke with vengeful surprise,
Saw her foster family, hate filled her eyes,
"You" she screamed as she leapt from the bed,
All of the grizzlys filled with worry instead,
"You were supposed to protect and love me too",
"Instead you abused, showed me life was untrue",
"Time after time you each took your turn",
"Fucked and now fucked up is all i could learn",
"Baby" grizzly spoke, "we did try our best",
Amazed, the girl sniggered "you failed the test",
And a leap in the air and a flash of cold steel,
The grizzlys discovered that her pain was to real,
Now clean, Lucy lives (that is her real name),
In the beautiful cottage, no longer the same,
A happy house now, hanging from the rafter,
The heads of her nightmare, she lives happily ever after.Â

Hello Angel, pretty cool R rated twist you put on an old classic. Very entertaining read, and so well written. Peace.
Thankyou sir. Very kind
EXTREMELY powerful! I felt every word as i read it and that imagery, the relation to story book tale... I just loved everything about it! Well done! Incredible! This deserves WAY MORE recognition.Â
