Gone too soon but never, ever forgotten 💙

Awww the sheer agony of it all
As another young soul met his maker and he answered God’s call
And there he lies amidst the daffodils by that engraved granite small wall
With his name etched within mournful melancholy from his rise and fall.
~
Each and every minute and second of a brand new day
His loved ones and dearest think of him as they kneel to pray
Knowing he is at peace but this just adds to their dismay
Oh my dear Lord.. why did you have to take him away?
~
Coz It is the ones who are left bearing this pain
Yon tearstained pillows are soaked once again
Can a Mother’s mournfulness make her go insane?
As each moonlit night is just another weary wax and a wane..
~
And that clock keeps ticking upon the wall in the hall
With it’s rhythmical beat sounding louder from such a sickening appal
But that time has stopped dead as it fired out a cruel cannon ball
One stares into the starkness as every inch of life has gone awol..
~
Gone too soon but never, ever forgotten
As Mother folds up his blue-checked shirt and presses it to her nose to sniff the fresh, clean cotton
And yet another teardrop trickles slowly down her pale cheek. Oh how this lovely lass feels rotten
Amidst her hollowed out heartbreak that is merely a massive shaft that alas has shotten ...
