"Good" Enough

Men complain that there are no good women left
But are you a "good" man.
If by "good" you mean that being silent
While you spit on my dreams and efforts is okay
If by "good" you mean laughing while I suffer is cool
Then no I'm not the "good" woman that you were hoping for
I am not "good" for you.
I played all the games from the role of "wifey"
To roles of mother and sister. It is all make believe in the end
And what I discovered is that you can't even be a good friend.
How can you want something "good" when you don't reflect
Any of its' wholesome characteristics.?
You say one thing. But when repeated you
Swear that you didn't hear it
You want a woman to love, cook, clean, be the bread winner
Treat you like a King and give you all the luxury
But are you deserving of that treatment
Are you "GOOD ENOUGH" for me...?
Not many men are strong enough to rise up to the standard
Of quality that I breathe on through
And I would rather you be honest with yourself
Than to waste any of my time investing my power, love, emotions into you.
So thank you for being honest, and accepting that
You are too weak in your spirit to protect these gifts within me. Thank you for showing your true colors.
I called you on your bluff
And no, if a "good woman" means being perfect then I choose
Not to be "GOOD" enough.

Hi LadyRemedy Well said! I love the angle on which
you wrote this as if you were having this conversation with him
right there, telling him that he is The one at fault and you
telling him all his flaws.I loved the ending
Great write Welcome to Cosmo
