Good Fridays

Good Fridays

For most people, a “Good Friday”, comes but just one time a year;
Two days before their Easter, a holiday so revered!
But for a long time, I had one every week, when I’d pick my babies up;
After eight hours at doggie daycare, their passions would erupt!
.
For every one, they’d get a warm bath, with perfume and shampoo;
They would know when I came to get them, with a whistle that I’d do!
They’d come flying out to greet me, I’d be sitting on the floor;
They would leap into my waiting lap, and their kisses on me pour!
.
I never will forget those days, of happiness and cheer;
But now, on every Friday, I miss them so very dear!
The only things now upon my lap, are the tears falling on that day;
Pining for my little boys, who both have sailed away!
.
.
                     Oh those “Good Fridays”
                  The best I have ever known
                       With my dear Angels
