"A Good Man's Opportunity and Nefarious Greed..."

In the ebb and flow of life, an opportunity lost
Is lost forever
Like a feather navigating the thermals
From an eagle
In it's flight
Is it an opportunity to rebuild a wing
Or just reconstruction
Of others golden deeds
And presented as new window dressing
So to mask nefarious greed
And when opportunity knocks upon
Insatiable appetite
Does it remain opportunity
Or just the stairway ascending into spite
Where the initial celebration
Becomes distorted
For the rest of the good man's
Life
Where he awakens one golden
Morning
To find that opportunity
Has not just passed him by
But contributed to
The ebb and flow of life
Where a good man's opportunity
Is often lost
Forever.....
