Good Morning, Angel

Good Morning, Angel

In the early hours of the morn,
my heartbeat rises as feelings form.
My dreams will wait if I ask them to
—
pause for a moment while I think of you.

Last night, in autumn’s evening air,
those same feelings lay waiting there...
When I glimpsed a light ever so shining—
oh, how lucky the stars are…to see your moon’s rising.

But in this early hour of the morn,
yesterday’s dark clouds have long since gone. And that star that once danced in the sky,
now takes the form of a twinkle…in my eye.

I’m wishing this joy will travel a mile,
to wherever you are, in hopes that you smile.
My heartbeat rises for feelings long formed;
I’ll hold this thought...perhaps until dawn.

My dreams no longer wait,
for they have no need to.
Even in slumber,
I still think of you.

The moon will stay up late,
as a symbol of our fate,
Sleep, with all its cruelty,
may yet again attempt to steal you from me-
But these thoughts will last a lifetime,
on and on…till infinity.

Good morning, my angel.
I breathe just for you.
