Good riddance to SHAME

Why did we live our past lives in shame, let’s not put the future through the same?
 
Throughout the nights I dreamt in pain, to see her face once more again.
 
One time I would have tasked Cupid’s, arrows to take aim to hit the heart I wished to reclaim.
 
It’s simple to explain, there was once an old flame whose love I wanted to gain.
 
But future came and life moves on so instead let the past live in shame.
