The 'Good Salesmen'

Hide yourself from the ‘Good Salesmen’
As they come around at twilight;
They found your human scent in the wind
When the day cooled down to night,
Covered over with smiling faces, and
Coyly disguised as angels without wings
They know you by name and all your secrets
Appearing pure as light to your mortal vision,
Run away from the ‘Good Salesmen’
Speaking words about a heavy love, with
The blood of the so called ‘unbelievers’
Dripping off their fingers
Cover your ears and shout hallelujahs to them
Never listen to their so called ‘final warning’
Go and tell your bedtime stories to the waiting children
Hide yourself from the ‘Good Salesmen’
Wrap your thoughts in warm hopes of tomorrows

wow. the "Good Salesmen" is so metaphorical. this poem reminds me of the warnings the pastor use to give us concerning the leaven of sinners. this is indeed a great poem well done.
