It was good to see your smiling face again

It felt like a long time that you went away

I found your sunglasses in my car yesterday

The scent of your perfume gave me comfort

Such memories came back in focus so clearly

So many plans and we had with one another

Standing right before me you seem so unreal

Was it all a dream or words scattered in wind?

I was fighting the need to just hold you tight

Forget how it all fell apart like a rope of sand

You once called me a part of your journey;

A special place full of adventure and learning

 I was your flesh and blood Discovery Channel

 And you walked away when the cable bill came

 Not sure what I really want to say to you now

But it was good to see your smiling face again
