The Good Shepard

The Shepard

To tend a flock for God is a noble deed
Take heed it comes from gods design
To Shepard his flock until his time
Somewhere he decides to place
The children that he saved by grace
His love is something we all receive
And that is why we try and cleave
To other believers like ourselves
Be careful because there are still wolves
That hide among the thickets free
Pouncing with a careless mind
Thinking it's their job to decide
Who has the right to come and go
And try and eat from his well of love
The Holy Spirit decides the words
That are spoken from the alter
This is where many falter
Thinking with their finite mind
And speaking a message that is unkind
Trying to feed words that have no grace
Acting then like its all true
Saying that's what God was trying to do
Speaking as if God has no grace for you

Great write dear Poetess Sarita Melton, my applause, my vote, I love the below lines

His love is something we all receive
And that is why we try and cleave
To other believers like ourselves
Be careful because there are still wolves
That hide among the thickets free
Pouncing with a careless mind
Thinking it's their job to decide
Who has the right to come and go
And try and eat from his well of love

The deeper someone gets into knowing and experiencing God one thing becomes more and more clear. That is, all that I am, all that I ever have been, and all that I ever will be is totally one hundred percent a result of God’s awesome grace. Every failure I experience causes me to humbly become more dependent upon God’s grace, causing me to decrease and Jesus to increase in my life.

Regards & Love
