Poem -

Goodbye

I don't understand.
Why did you have to go?
All I can do is dream about you.

I see your silhouette,
On my nightstand,
It makes me remember;

You and I, kissing on that warm summer night.

Lying here in bed,
Only hearing  your voice in,
The sound of the whispering wind.

Where are you now?
We never said goodbye on that hot June night,
Are you saying hello to me at every sunrise?

I don't understand,
I still listen for your sweet words,
Just one time, I want to hear you say,

Goodbye, my love.

Hello Cherie...

Thank you much. These words were inspired by a dream I had last night about my wife who I lost in 1981. If you watch the video. That's like me sitting in the hospital. :(
