Poem -

Grandpa

Grandpa

It has been 32 years ago
since you went to the
great fishing hole in
the sky.................
I still remember
waking up
to the distinct oder of coffee
you brewed,
the shape of the
egg you fried,
and the smell
of your fresh
squeezed orange juice.

I remember riding
through the orange
groves
stopping
You shooting lunch
and asking me
to fetch it.

Your heart
was so
pure
and your Love
of God and mankind
let me
knew
what it meant
to be
just
a decent man.

I still often
think of
you
everytime
a gospel
song is sung
or when
I see an act
of kindness coming
from
a complete
stranger.
For it is
you
that perfectly
describes
what it
means
to be
"God Like".
