One by one we take a step 
Into the light we slowly recollect 

Our days on this planet

How it spins and twirls 

How once you were just a little girl

Fishing at the river

Playing at the lakes

Showing us all how to make tarts and cakes 

The way you'd hold our hands so tight

Tell us a story about that warm summers night 

The days you spend with all of us here 

A glass full of whiskey but your favourite was beer 

You knew just exactly what to say 

To make our hearts thump Ina wonderful way

We knew one day this day would come but you showed us all how to overcome

How to live

 how to love 

 how to learn 

 how to be 

A better person 

With hope and a pot full of tea 

We know your not gone that far 

Grandad's been in heaven playing his guitar

Waiting for you with Martin your son 

The angels gather round because today they have won 

A beautiful soul with a mind full of whit 

Tomorrow has come and today is a gift
