Poem -

granted wishes

she thought she loved the world like the sun loved the sky

she thought her world would never make her cry

she thought it would be something else and the world would be there to dry her eyes

but tormenting and anger did not hide

it swept her away and was anything but shy.

if someone asked her, "if you could afford anything, what would you buy?"

well isn't it obvious, she couldn't simply lie.

for she would be honest, and say "much thinner thighs"

"a consistent high"

"or a guaranteed reply"

" the courage to try"

"but maybe a smile instead of a sigh"

" a graceful hello and a nonexistent goodbye"

"but most of all, a granted wish to die."
