Gratitude to God for gratis bounties

Divine blessings

Gratitude to God for gratis bounties

From the bottom of my heart
I thank you God 🕋
for the honey bee🐝
for all that liquid gold
that's bought and sold
It's precious honey from its tiny womb🍯
Yes Allah bless thy crispy honeycomb.
In Holy Quran honey's described
as a liquid of healing!
So in gratitude to God
I'm bowing and kneeling .🕌

And thankyou God for bleating sheep🐏'
for their soft warming fluffy wool
or the cold makes the babies weep
as they need warm clothes when cool.

Thankyou Allah for the
Mother hen
for its sizzling omelettes and scrambled eggs🥚🥚
and for delicious tikka tandoori drumstick legs!

And God alone we should be thanking
for the calf's milk that we are sharing and taking
for milkshakes, and cakes have to be baking🍼🥛🍰

And thankyou Allah for the little silkworm🐛
Silken dresses have long been the norm

Be thankful to God for deer's musk,
and chops and steaks of venison 🦌
And for roasted lamb or brie mutton 🐐🐏🥩🍖

Gratitude to God for slippery, flippery fishes🐋🐟🐠🦈🐬
for tasty succulent seafood dishes🦐
We need the omega 3 fatty acids found in fish fillets🐠
Thank Him before frying them in pans and skillets.

Thank you God for all that makes a meal
From paneer cheese to grilled calf's veal

Last but not least, thank God for the myriad fruits and vegetables 🥕 🍉🍊
He alone created for our salads, these nutritious, edible eatables

So much variety of food don't partake of the haram forbidden
lest with disease you are left ailing and bedridden!🌬🛏

So thankyou Allah for all that food 🍽🕋
If we thank Him not we're ingrates rude .
🥝🍏🍇'🍋"🥖🥐🍞🧀"🍟🥪🍿🥟

This reads like a prayer. Such gratitude is to be praised. I think it is important to take a few minutes to appreciate where our food comes from. Far too easy to scoff and not think. Thank you for sharing with us your thoughts. Happy New Year to you and yours x

This is a wonderful reminder to open our hearts to the blessings we have been given. No matter what your religious or spiritual belief are..goodness, kindness, empathy, gratitude and love are universal  and each of us is blessed that we can benefit from all these wonderful gifts. A very well written piece. Lodigiana xx

Hi Zaynab, I understand your poetry, the love you have for this earth, the love you have for Allah and all that he/she gives, I unfortunately, lately, cannot seem to give gratitude to any God, I was raised a chatholic, but my faith in religion is gone, I am all that's left, my heart, my soul, my very existence and it is grand, it requires no God, how can we put our faith in one entity, how can we accept a divine presence when children suffer.

For a child to suffer is the greatest sin.

I look to the stars, I see the sun, how convenient it all is, surely there must be a God, yes, in my heart, in my body, my soul is the stars and dust, my breath.
I am
I am
I am.

Oh dear dear but children suffer only due to the sins and evil of people, or as a test. This world is not meant to be a perfect heaven.
If people abuse children they will be punished for it in heaven.
God just couldn't make us robotic saints who forcefully do only good, we have free will so some will abuse it and commit evil while many will not. Thats the test.

I just feel that labeling this divine power we feel " GOD" is wrong, to me he is not a he or a she, it is not one being that judges us, I feel there is light and dark, we humans draw energy from the light and the dark, our first mistake was giving it a name, a lable.

What happens when you give something a lable, we start to give it structure, we start believing that it it to be one, a diety that is more powerful than us, we judge other people in its name, and when "GOD" doesn't perform to our expectations, we feel like we have done something wrong. We have killed in his name, all because we can't comprehend energy, we are still a young race with lots to learn and I believe in the future there will be no religion, we won't lable, we won't feel a single presence and define our lives by it but see past GOD and accept it as neither and friend or foe, a man or woman, a beast or an angel.

Yes dear poet GOD is not a he or she, he has no gender.
Yes i believe God is the most powerful creator of all universes.
We guide ourselves with His divine instructions not judge.
And God always performs perfectly but humans get influenced by the devil and heed him causing problems for ourselves and all.
I strongly feel nobody has killed innocents in the name of the one true God, rather
belief in fake gods and  idols have caused all attacks against innocents and personal interests and materialism caused the two world wars not for religion.

Cont/.. I believe as per predictions via statistics that the one true religion will continue to grow and guide until judgement day.
God's presence  and existence is scientifically provable as i studied data from scientists which proves God's existence even according to them which i will present gradually overtime. So God's need and presence will be felt forever to guide us, not to save us from death which is a bridge to afterlife.
Some will die young, some old.
Recently a poet told me he lost his young daughter to cirrhosis caused by drinking, now drinking is discouraged by Quran, bible as well as health science so disobeying God has consequences. Cheers n best wishes.

So are you saying that she died because she disobeyed God?

Also, is the one true religion Islam?

Why must humans have a religion? Do we need religion.

Oh dear she died of alcoholism which is discouraged by both religion and science.
Islam is the latest in the series of many many divine religions.
Yes we need religion as a computer needs an instruction manual, the brain is  similar to a computer so the creator knows best the guiding instructions for His creation. Cheers.

Hi. It definitely reads like a prayer. Though I am a vegetarian and would not eat meat....to be thankful of what we have is always kind and respected to our mother earth.
Being spiritual is the best word and it applies to all as all faiths have similar philosophies. It's just conveyed in different ways through religion.
Great verses. Px

Um yeah it is like a thanksgiving hymn like poem prayer sort of though it's meant to be a bit more entertaining than regular supplications. And yes being thankful is the main MSG which you grasped nicely.
Um I was wondering if you are a vegetarian due to faith, because here where we live we get Hindus who eat all sorts of flesh meat except beef, ie they eat goat, sheep, chicken and fish, some do it hidingly while some openly. Must be hard to be a vegetarian I'm sure.
Warm warm thanks for your comment, take care dear.
