Poem -

Green with Envy

I watch them laughing from afar,
My friends, drunk, stumbling out of the bar,
And curse at them for excluding me.

I watch her squealing from afar,
My sister with her brand new car,
And curse at her for being worthy.

I watch them kissing from afar,
My ex-boyfriend and his new star,
And curse at them for leaving me lonely.

I look at my reflection,
Full of its imperfections,
And curse at myself for being so crazy.

Having been so green with envy,
I wasn't letting myself be happy.
What a sudden epiphany!
