Grounded in reality
Seeking Approval
What do you see in me,
Am I a pawn in your game,
Can I choose to speak freely,
Or is silence how you play,
Where did everything go wrong,
When I turned and walked away,
Why are grudges held so long,
Because you’d rather me filled with pain,
Ive tried to make sense of it all,
Then your lightning struck and let rain fall,
Swept away my pride to the open sea,
You flooded my mind of hopes and dreams,
Left me exposed and enemies with glee,
Begging the question of what you see in me.

Yep...if only. That's what it used to be like...remember? When people had the courtesy and genuine interest in the poetry and efforts of others on here...let's hope Cosmo gets back on track soon because most people seem to spend more time liking and pinning their own work than they do liking and pinning other people's work BM...shame that ???☹️

Appreciate it. I love your guys writing and feedback because it gives me a new perspective on life and how things change in our funny little game called life. I’ve learned a lot in my life and I hope to learn more from others and especially those on this platform. You both inspire me to continue writing and improve on everything I bring here.
That is what it is all about... Inspiring each other. And if we interact more while talking about poetry we can only learn from it. Life can take us on all sorts of journeys we never bargained for and if we have a place to go to like here on Cosmofunnel we can find a safe harbour (God, I live talking about the sea) to come to and chat with like minded people who can become our friends. Keep writing, Dvon, and keep reading what others write too and, if you can, comment on other poems... It will help you even more x
Definitely! We all can only improve the more we write and inspire others to create art with words and even the simplest image can change ones whole point of view.
