Grounded past

Birth from the start of my
parents sin
Unmarried  umwedded just lust an greed with intent Mistakes made without hesitation or delay
No knowledge
 No understanding
blind wisdom an dismay Left with the scare of deep depths of thoughts in the night stealing my flight clipping my wings blackening  my night Unforgiveness place at my table dressed to dine
War settled in my mind trying to forget promises an additions of lies left behind
Coverings of truth blinds the eyes
Drawing stress near trembling from recovered fear
Crying out to my supernatural Savior praying he draw near
Looking for a rescue to take up my soul
caught up in iniquities  pretending to be bold
Freed from the locked cage but yet trapped in the mind war an violence has rooted in my vessel inside
Blood trails of lovers left behind
How can I take off an fly with  so much inside
My mother has passed on an can't sing nor pray at my bedside
Father never cared from the day after I was born
Just a peck of a kiss from him when I mourned
Outcast alienated left alone Anger  an Resentments has touched home
Many  faces covered with makeup claiming a throne My passions an desires has settled in an created a home Something I can feel an pursue
Given gift brand new
A fire lit by a heavenly angle that new my truth
Not remembering my past but the future of my gifts that was buried in me awakened aflamed
Burning inside within....
My grounded past
My demons
My sin....

very powerful, Teresa Murphy, gripping flowing style you have, holding the reader tight with your strong narrative, this is such a complex story you told here....felt something was 'slightly' lost in translation by your line breaks, only 'slightly' distracting though, the story was too good to miss out so I kept on track, this is really a superb poem, your language is undeniable emotive, and it translates from writer to reader very well, I'm liking this one a lot, nicely done...cheers poet
