Growing up; to fear

As kids the only shooting we would spy was the the shining star passing by. Â
The shooting we’d hear was the melody of twinkles in the sky it was never a fear.Â
The only shot we would feel was the stinging fire sensation when we took a visit to the doc to heal.Â
As time passed by and crime got high everyone started to hide; always wanting to cry.
So focused on our lives not knowing what is the truth or a lie and having to hear of all the people that die.Â
Not feeling safe at home nor at school. Finding out that the world is cruel. Kids having access to powerful guns; getting shot at a place that should be fun.Â
Stuck between thought not knowing why children ever get shot.
Was it revenge from the bullied or the bully or the crime of a gang all never heard fully.
Parents paranoid to send their kids to school. Buying them a bullet proof vest feeling like fools
Why should we students be scared to go to a place meant to learn; and always having to keep an eye and turn. Parents scared of the possibility their child won’t return. All very concerned.Â
Say NO more to this madness; stop bringing trouble to our campus.Let’s get our voice heard ; yelling “NO WEAPONS “is definitely preferred. And we shall not stop until CONFERRED .
Let’s go I wanna hear your voices loud and clear let’s show no fear. Show we are all here. So they never reappear
