Guess Who Won?

Guess Who Won?

Her mind screams “Help Me!” but her lips say “Stay Away”

Her confidence just like her conciseness is slowly slipping day by day.

The faded out shadow of the girl she once was.

Guess who won?

That’s a good question to be quite honest

Who won? The grand prize of self loathing and broken promise?

Ask the bloodstains on her wrists or the teardrops on her cheeks

For the voice deep within her is too afraid to speak.

They all ignored her pleas and her cries

And she was falling til she finally met her demise.

Til the clouds blocked out the sun;

And when they found her like this,

They finally knew who won...

Wow Lindsey,

If emotions were to be displayed in words, rather than on our face, dear lady you have given us, every word known to mankind, in this highly emotional poem, from you the poetess and from the love one, from beyond her place of rest, whom tells us sadly, of her sad and unheard by many,(although she tried to convey them), misunderstood reasons, of her extremely sad, demise..A  truly touching poem, given us by a very heart broken poetess.....

God Bless you and to you, all faith, be forever at hand,

Jim

Thank you Jim. This is an extremely touching comment. I do really appreciate it. I only hope that no one ever feels the way I did when I wrote this poem. I am honored that you liked it. I honestly cannot come up with words for your comment because it was so wonderful.

Thank you again

~Lindsey

You are most welcome Lindsey and i am sorry that such a powerful poem such as this, had to be created not from laughter are tears of joy but instead, from a place where hurt and pain never subsides in a day, (in unfair and unfortunately situations such as this). Hopefully forever, is this (not) to dwell, in side your very, (now lonely) soul...Take care and we (ALL) do hear the hurt in your voice and this poem, as well as hers, through this touchig poem...Jim
