Guilt Quilt

Your face is made up
But your smile cant lie
What you have to say
Unravels our tie
Perfect is your stance
But shallow your glow
Those who know you best
Long left the ghetto
The streets can pull too
Delighting your past
Don't let it fool you
Your beauty wont last
The beauty of quilts
Are shallow covers
Dazzling the eyes
For under-covers
A new breed of woe
With stones in new walls
Locked in, are can't leaves
From trips from old falls
Don't song and dance me
Give it to me straight
Where you are headed
Covers can't hide fate
Oh yes you smell good
Desires abound
Compromising self
Is where broken' found
Smiles can be for show
But faces are not
Especially Quilts
With a guilty note
