Ha Ha Halloween

The trees moves with the cold wind,
They sway with a fierce motion,
It's the scariest night,
The pumpkins sit on the porches,
Laughter and screams creep the neighborhood,
It's all around,
Are you ready for the candy fight?
Ha Ha Halloween,
Broken bones are scattered,
The yards are filled with grave stones,
Ghost are flying but never seen,
Adults and children are knocking on the doors,
Frightened by the costumes,
Angels, devils, bats, witches, and black cats,
Blood splattered, all over the floor,
Are you afraid?
The light from the sun fades,
Embrace your fear,
Ha Ha Halloween,
Witches are on their brooms,
You are left in the dark, you are doomed.
Little children are searching for the treats,
They are in for the trick,
Come take a seat,
Wait for it, the clock will begin to tick,
Ha Ha Halloween,
The moon is full,
Diamond eyed skulls,
Are you ready?
Come find me.

I wrote this because as I'm writing it I can imagine myself walking around hearing nothing but laughter but can't find anyone around, the feeling sends me chills. I think out of all my poetry well besides a few this is the best, I'm not just saying that either I feel everyone has a favorite on their own poetry.
-Sincerely,
Tori Holmberg
