Half A Millennium

Half A Millennium

It’s been exactly five hundred days, since we lost our Cody dear;
But it seems like “Half A Millennium”, for each day feels like a year!
Time passes by so slowly, each one is filled with woe;
I see you and hear you barking, almost everywhere I go!
.
My arms reach out to hold you, but my love’s no longer there;
I look at all your photographs, my heart fills with dread despair!
The only time we are together, is in dreams that end too fast;
I wake up sadly sobbing, wishing they could ever last!
.
After we lost our Nico, you were the rock that got me through;
But now I’m in withdrawal, and I don’t know what to do!
For nothing could replace my babies, my Soulmates ever true;
Almost four years without my Nico, and half a millennium without you!
.
.
Five hundred sad days
Without my precious Angel
Each one like a year
.
.
Upside down my World
You both were its whole axis
Spins out of control
Without your sweet tender love
On a crash course with darkness
