Half The Deck

Happy 26th Anniversary my Love

A deck of cards is what we aim for, a year for each one of fifty-two;
Today marks exactly one-half of them, twenty-six spent joyously with you!
We were dealt bad hands until that night, when we finally yelled “Blackjack”;
Knowing we would never lose again, our Soulmate finally back!

For there’s no doubt that we have loved before, in millenniums from the past;
I had a vision of us in Biblical times, I was holding my Leah very fast!
Then I woke up to my dear Linda, her appellation translating just the same;
For the ancient one of Leah, is her given Hebrew name!
.
Sometimes I rue not meeting sooner, and going steady in high school;
Then gotten married and had some children, our love their growing tools!
But our paths took other directions, for over forty years;
Where both of us shared sadness, where both of us shared tears!
.
But at last, we were reunited, we realized it instantly;
That this person we had just met, was our Soulmate eternally!
So let’s toast to our love Angel, we are only half-way through;
But it’s just for this one lifetime, because forever I’ll be with you!

Then eternity

P.S.  To all our dear poetic Soulmates on Cosmo, Larry is in the process of learning how to use a computer.  Due to my new job, and our new baby girl Cookie, we have not had any spare time to devote to Cosmo.  But once Larry learns the ABC’s, he will be on every day again.
