Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand

As I sit here this evening thoughts pass slow as honey fresh from the comb to my fingers.

It has been so long since I felt the flames of passion bite at the back of my lips. The ach with every breath of words fighting to find their freedom from within.

Too many nights of battles to resurrect the person whom was buried for the betterment of my future.

Tonight I will take from her the wilds of her mind. The rawness of her anger. Her beauty within sorrow.

Together we will begin to walk this path of life without the naive glimmer to her eyes. With my absolution  of survival. With our hope for tomorrow and we will blaze again brighter than that time so long ago.

We will show that within the shattered emptiness of a broken life there is the truest makings of new beginnings.

From the tattered feathers of the raven will the Phoenix find its wings.

***note: hello! Thank you for reading. I am sure this piece will come off as a bit odd but, it was sorely needed before I begin this new page! I used to frequent this site under another name (Raven Harker). It was using this site to share my thoughts that saved me from a dark place in life. I look forward to sharing more and reading the wonderful new pieces from you all!
