hanging

hanging

you lie in your bed
you cuddle your children
thinking about her
you fight against yourself
between love and hate
in the distance of emptiness
while loneliness imprisons you
in her cold arms
on those nights
when you begin your life
without her

you hang from the sky
with your two children
hanging from you
for the three of you
to fall asleep in your bed

I of 6, who daydream
constantly, and
the little one of 4 years old
she cries what we
don’t allow ourselves to cry
in those days that end
with no happy ending
