Happiness

Spiritual madness swirling ‘bout these feet
Dark clouds of anger rolling upon my beach
I groan, moan and cry, while searching this deep pain
Collapsing umbrella… vicious pelting rain

A milky-misty fog, settles ‘round my brain
My stomach turns and twists, sickened by the strain
Emotions of fear and dread, rattle this skull
With every forced breath, taxed mind grows dull

Tears stream down glass window, puddles on the ground
Happiness eludes me, horrid is the sound
That screeches in the twilight, eroding life
Falling downward deeper, into hopeless strife

Look for the sunshine and yellow flower blooms
Open each door in this house with many rooms
For there I may conclude that all is not cursed
I may find happiness for which I so thirst
