Happy Birthday Eenie

Happy Birthday Eenie

This is the seventy-third birthday, of a very special girl;
She is my favorite cousin “Eenie”, the purest of all pearls!
Her name is really Marlene, but when we were very young;
Her little brother Robbie, would call her “Eenie” in his tongue!
.
She was raised in Philadelphia, sometimes, I’d drive to there all night;
From Ohio, I’d arrive real early, as the sun would bring the light!
I would stop down at the corner, to use an old pay phone;
I’d say “Hi Marlene, guess where I am, just two blocks from your home”!
.
Through the years we’ve always stayed close, and shared such lovely days;
Like this photo of us on the Boardwalk, down Atlantic City way!
She is four months younger than I am, but today turns seventy-three;
So Happy Birthday, my sweet cousin, again, you are just as old as me!
.
.
                             The years seem to fly
                       Yesterday we were just teens
                             Today, young at heart
.
                                    All My Love,
                                        Larry

Hi Tony,

I can guarantee you that probably this Spring, at yours and Cherie's convenience, Linda and I will come down for a few days.  We cannot wait to meet you both, because as you say, we all somehow seem to be connected.

As for Atlantic City, my favorite place was "Under The Boardwalk", which I'm sure you visited too.

Love,
Larry xxx
