Happy Father’s Day Jack--Part II
The day I fell in love with Linda, I received a “value pack”;
For not only did I get my sweetheart, but also her Father Jack!
I had lost mine fifteen years before, and been so very sad;
But God sent me a lovely gift, another man I could call “Dad”!
.
The moment that we both shook hands, we felt something in our hearts;
For I was the son he never had, and he, the Father had depart!
Like with Linda, I felt love at very first sight, as I knew he did for me;
Our souls then joined together, for all eternity!
.
Then many years we partied, great times we’d always share;
I was so very fortunate, for my Dad again was there!
As he grew older, of course he slowed down, but his mind stayed very quick;
His jokes were legendary, he never lost his schtick!
.
Thirteen years ago we sadly lost him, but I’ll forget not all his love;
That he bestowed me from his gentle heart, now I look to skies above!
I wish you Happy Father’s Day, my Dearest Daddy Jack;
I thank you for the bliss you brought, those years I had my Father back!
.
God sent you to me
New Father to ever love
For I am your son

My Dear Brother Tony,
As are your beautiful words, that have not only made a "grown man" cry, but also a grown woman. Your response is a treasured poem that Linda and I want to read over and over again. As you have pinned mine to your office wall, we are pinning yours to our hearts. Have to end this now, for we are running out of kleenex.
Peace, Love and Rockets,
Larry xxx
You found a soulmate and a father when you met Linda...I'm not surprised, with your kind of person, who wouldn't love you at first sight?..I can tell, Jack is really proud of you and Linda...Beautifully written Sweet Daddio
My Dear Sweet Rose,
As I told Cherie, Jack was my wedding gift from God. To think that for thirteen years, I again had a Father, brings tears to my eyes. As I loved him dearly, so did he love me, for I was the son that he never had, as he was the Father that I had lost fifteen years before. Thank you for your loving words.
Love you,
Daddio xxx
