Happy Halloween
Fall colors all around
The nippy nights are welcome here
The time to pick a pumpkin
For a child's delight
Is so welcome from the every day
Costume selection a serious task
Shall one be scary or pretty or both,?
Years past saw candied apples and such
But today social distancing is in place
I think I shall dress as a virus
and my friend
Well a vaccine
What could be more scary
Than world wide Covid 19
It is not going away
in fact digging in to stay
So it has chased away even
the holiday of Hallloween
It will never be the same
But, if we are wise we can do
a better thing
Recreate our world in a safer way
Spread love and well being
Handing it out each and every day
So instead of goblins and ghouls
in this tired old world
There will arise a shining future for you and me
