Happy New Year

Happy New Year

The Welkin is lit in many hues
To forget the past year's blues
The old year has come to an end
So work hard the life we do intend

We've been stuck in this covid infection
We can't choose which vaccine to get as booster injection
Why is it taking so long
But, we hang on and our faith keeps as strong

We make resolutions every year
And hope they evolve so clear
As we look forward to the future
Never be scared for new adventure

Hear the tower's final chime
To remind us all the time
To rise up the nobler modes of life
Be strong in every toil and strife

Welcome the New Year upon as anew
For determination to filter through
Happy New Year to you all
Young, old, rich or poor, and great or small

I wish you all a Happy New Year ,my Cosmofunnel.com family.
And thank you for being part of my journey.

It's me singing, hope you like it

Just a tad late to your party Leah, but well done and all poetry kudos to you for writing and generously sharing your inspiring and prepossessing poem.
And a belated but above Happy New Year to you also.
And a poem that has a voice and what a voice!
