Happy Saint Patrick’s Day

Even though my mother was Lutheran, and my dad the Jewish faith;
I honor my fellow Irish Americans, on every St. Patrick’s Day!
I always wear a green shirt, and eat lots of Irish food;
Especially great hot corned beef, green libations get me in the mood!

I have a special drink on this day, vodka and orange juice over ice;
Blended with the blue liqueur Curacao, turning green, and tasting nice!
People are always so happy, partying at various vast venues;
I love meeting them and talking, I say so many “How do you dos”!

This year, we will party early, the best ones are all today;
Even though it’s just the sixteenth, they are better than on Sunday!
We are going to Dayton’s Dublin Pub, rated one of America’s Top Ten;
We will be dancing to wild music, and plan many hours there to spend!
