HARD CRYING

HARD CRYING

HARD CRYING

Ricardo Antonio Garcia

Tonight

the moon is obscured in the clouds

only the edges are lit

otherwise

you would never know there was a moon

under that veil of indigo.

Have I hidden away like these clouds

keeping the radiance

of my love away from pain?

Lord knows

the pain of requited love

and the road

less traveled that so many of us take

never wanting

the looming feeling to return.

Hard crying

is what my eyes would show

red amber eyes of trying.

Tonight

I feel like my life has been reborn in you

the hunger has gone away

inflicting me

with pain you would never do, and

this is why

I have resigned to love you.

I carefully watch

the moon like I've always done

for there are

woes weaved in that orb.

Countless Souls

have cried looking at its light, and

Lord knows

it almost took my life.

Hard crying

is what my eyes only knew

fighting the grief of lost love.

Tonight

I will hold the back of your head

and bring you to my lips

nestle with you

closely and tell you of this.

You should know

of all my pains and sorrows

and how you saved my Soul.

No longer

hidden away you held my hand

and brought me out

into the light of day showing me

I could trust someone again.

Hard crying

taught me a valuable lesson

that learning to love

all over again is so much better.

Thank you Mr. Moonlight …
