The Hard Way

85 people are worshiped by the rest.
They hold the worlds wealth
and they think they are the best.

People grovel on their knees
each and every day.
I'd like to say I haven't
but my prints give me away.

The road to false freedom
is riddled with these prints
but true freedom doesn't lie
with the bloody 1%.

So get up. Stand up!
Fight against this greed.
Capitalism is a joke.
It's built upon our need.

Give us your tired,
your hungry, and your poor.
Why? So you can stand on our
necks to build more.

Out with the old! They know too much.
Immigrants; that's the ticket.
They'll help us a bunch!

What? Are you kidding?
These people have been waiting.
Give them a taste of the freedom
you've been baiting.

Tell them they're not needed.
Tell them to go home.
We have what we need
so just leave us alone.

We built up your treasures with
our skilled hands.
We gave up our sons,
our daughters and our plans.

Your plans mean nothing in
the grand scheme of things.
Don't you get it? You've lost!
So just get away!

You sicken me with your filth
and retched decay.
I've lost enough due to welfare
you take and I pay.

Come on brethren get off your knees.
That path does not hold
the treasures we seek.

I'll hope for your souls
as you dance on gold paths
but our way is narrow
and laden with glass.

Oh but what a treasure
when we reach the end.
Wide open spaces and
fields to lay in.

At rivers we'll gather
and wash off your disease
that once we allowed
to creep up our knees.

dreamer of dreams.
