Harm

Harm

Ignoring the voices
Making bad choices
Crying off the pain
Makes my fake smile gain

With no hope in the dark
My soul would flow
While feeling faithless
My prayers were worthless

No one to trust
With a mask on my face
When you see me smilingΒ
I’m just trying to pass away

Nobody to see
Nowhere to go
No shadows behind alone all the time

In my room starring at the moonlight
Seeing the sunlight made the truth hide

Trying to scream
Wanting to cry
Sometimes I thought of how to die

You would ask me if I’m okay
And I’m tired lying and trying

I met an artist who was a girl
She cut like paper
Using a blade for her skin
She said to me the sting helps forget your ways

Never again out of bed
Never again the same friend

People die and people survive
One day her mum was not alive
Her problem was bigger as her Mum felt the same way.

We are all so differentΒ
And yet so much the same
Everyone, in some way or another,
Will experience a type of pain

A thousand words won’t bring life back;
I know because I’ve tried
Neither will a thousand tears;
I know because I’ve cried
