The Haunted Woods

On a darkened path, I roam
Searching desperately, for a way home
It appears as the trees have grown
In the crackling bushes numerous pairs of eyes were shown

Coyote's howled a haunted song 
The echoes only seemed far away for so long
Closer and closer they inched, the feeling of devilish presence grew strong
Have I been going in circles, all night long?

My body began to tremor, my hands began to shake
My legs are beginning to break
Hoping it was just a nightmare, what would it take
For me to escape the haunted woods, I made a mistake

I could swear faces formed along the trees
That screaming voices, echoed in the breeze
It feels minus fifty degrees
"Hello!? Anyone there? Help please!!"

A voice echoed, inside my head
"You are trapped until the coyotes eat you dead
You should of stayed home instead"
Deep down, I begged and I plead

Lord have mercy on my soul
Though I felt I  was sinking in a black hole
Turns out that night, The haunted woods had stole
Another innocent soul

So would you dare
Walking with the eyes that stare
You down, are you even aware
That, there is nothing to compare

To the demonic poison, in the center of each tree?
That once you enter, you will never be set free
You too, will be forever trapped just like me
So welcome to The Haunted Woods, prepare for misery

You are welcome to take a stroll deep within
Remember, everything breathing can only smell your skin
If the devil does not live and breathe here, its his twin
True horrors lye deep within, from the moment you begin

Once you have entered the gate
It is too late, so walk around and wait
For the coyote's to create your dying date
The Haunted woods are a part of hell, I will burn forever at this rate

No sense in praying
When the devil is out weighing
Our dear God, please believe what I am saying
Each prayer you are saying, is another ton of pain you will be paying

Another body found dead
Another tree painted red
Each body is missing it's head
I think, I will stay home instead
