HE

HE

He came when the Moon was full
Open like a book
If you knew the right place to look
My Capricorn Goat

You, wounded and abused
So used to being used
Gentle and Kind
Not often on your mind

He with flowing flaxen hair
Built like a grizzly bear
So soft and gentle
Like He cares

You, a life so wild and crazy
Though some of it is hazy
Drink to stop you thinking
Drown your woes with drinking

He, a maestro on guitar
Plays a different kind of bar
Music in his veins
Holding tight the reins

You, searching for compassion
Still so full of passion
Bucking all the trends
Avoiding all the bends

He, with youth still on his side
His story still to write
Young and strong and free
Can be whatever he can be

You, who once shone like the Sun
Now waning like the Moon
Like an old oak tree
Deep rooted, branches waving free

He, his journey just begun
A sapling tree
Bends with the wind
Floats like a bee

You, now old, still crazy
Like an overgrown daisy
Basking in his light
Resting from the fight.
