Poem -

He Hid His Tears

He was my summer
And my spring
A joy on the outside
But a pain beneath

He didn't show
The battles he was facing
But when everyone was asleep
He'd be passing,

His tears would end up
On the hallway floor
And when everyone woke up
They wouldn't see them anymore

He hid his tears
Because they made fun
He hid his tears
Hoping to fake strong

He learned all of that
the hard way
And finally
When the day came
He gave up

He couldn't take it
Anymore
The scars, the pain, the sores,
The hurt,
He hid his tears
Till the end
