HE LEFT HIS GLASSES AT HOME

He left his glasses at home the other day 
Funny things happened to him and got in the way 
Like for instance he went to the bakers 
No bread was purchased it was actually the undertakers 

Bumping into people he was considered rude 
Without his glasses I hope he was excused 
He obviously got the wrong bus back from town 
All these mishaps though did not get him down

For when he eventually arrived back to his flat 
He was so pleased to see that welcome mat 
On the shelf his glasses shone so bright 
He went to bed and called it a night
