He said "I like dogs"

He said "I like dogs"

He's the light to my darkness
The ying to my yang
He loves me regardless
He's my partner on the chain gang?

Laughter, we’ve had our share
Good lovin’ we’ve had a lot
He’s been a breath of fresh air
What a great relationship we’ve got

He said “I like dogs”
I said “I like cats”
His dog died, now she saws logs
He won’t admit he likes my cat, and that’s that

He’s got a fast car
Wants to drive with the top down
I said, I am game, if you are
English weather has turned my smile into a frown

To me he’s larger than life
He’s a superstar
Good times and laughter are rife
Our life is so good that I find it bizarre

I couldn’t ask for more than what I have
He’s a sexy beast and gives great lovin’
I think that he is just fav
If we were younger, I’d surely have a bun in the oven

His name is Jon
I love him loads
We used to lay naked on the lawn
But the old ladies came by truckloads...

He loves building houses
Has an eye for design
Our small abodes feel like penthouses
Good thing that he’s that way inclined

What a sweet cheerful playful write.

Poetry should, and can be fun.  Thanks for proving this.

Thank you for the comment.  Much appreciated.  I am enjoying it.  I am new so don't know poetry rules but it was fun.
