HE WOULD BE EIGHTY TODAY

Mister Lennon would have been eighty today
A crazed gunman took his life unfortunately away
I can only imagine what things he would see
Some things I know that John would totally disagree

He would still sing for peace as he did years ago
That much hasn't changed the world will show
Considered as Liverpool's most favourite son
Taken from the world by the bullets of a gun

John Lennon should never be forgotten for sure
Not just as a singer but certainly so much more
What he stood for we need to carry in our heart
Peace and love will stop the world falling apart
