A heart can bend.

I don't know everything
But what I do know,

Is that we were born to love
Regardless of anything else,

'Tis love that ends all pain
For in death
we become that lost love,

Remembered for other reasons
Not of our own,

'Tis love that lives inside us
Our very own to hold,

there is a great fullness
to a heart when love,

turns to dust growing old
growing cold,

it's there we remember how to burn
Adjusting the heat of the flames,

love is understood not by many
often caught in victorious games,

you should never fight for love
love just is to be,

a gift we ignite internal
for other hearts to see,

Love is often unregistered
when to souls could never part,

it becomes a reckoning
blows your world apart,

often without a choice in love
people find a voice in love,

then the walls come caving in
beneath the hollows of our skin,

not listening to the voice within
and without your soul,

love is healing I makes us whole
though often darkness takes it's toll,

'Tis then we burn without the coal
love takes on a evil role,

burying us deep inside
love has no such boundaries,

we place them within our pride
often losing our footing,

knee deep within broken stride
love is not a maze,

it's a place our heart's provide
when heartache in love

comes calling
'Tis then when take that ride,

wild are the wings of love
often feeling as though you've died,

But knowing such love is existent
fuels the world allied,

'Tis when we comprehend
a broken heart can mend,

nothing is straight in love
who would have known a heart can bend.

a promise to love if nothing else
be not a heart condemned,

give love that final chance
love a promising friend,

rejoice in love without a doubt
so swiftly make amends,

life is short and we can't see
just how this story will end,

never forget what I've told you
that fact a heart can bend,
