Heart Of A Million Miles

Heart Of A Million Miles

Still life memories
Cascading hindsight
Take me down to the river of tears
As I kneel at the feet of reflection
Praying to the holy water
Don't let me wash away in sin
Hopeless at the alter of perpective
Trying to see through the mirror
All I am is blind
As you haunt my doubtful mind
Yesterday I was a fortress
Today I am in ruins
I must confess
Gone, doesn't hurt any less
Time refuses to stand still
Acceptance can be such a bitter pill
A new dawn rises in sun's eyes
As I lift my spirit to the sky
Heart of a million miles
