Heart To Heart- Part II-July 13th

                                      Good To Go

Yesterday, they did my surgery, my heart received a stent;
They’ll do another one six weeks from now, then it’s condition will be mint!
They went through my wrist to take photos, to analyze the problems be;
Two blockages were what they found, that were causing pain to me!

It’s Friday morning, I’m feeling great, I got a lot of rest;
The care and attention I have received, ranks among the very best!
I’ve not had an operation, since I was a lad of only nine;
I guess that it was overdue, for this aging body of mine!
.
It brings a whole new perspective, on how to live one’s life;
It’s time to start relaxing, and eliminate the strife!
I have plans to be a centenarian, still writing lines of prose;
This was just a blip in life, quickly amended when it arose!

                               Better than ever
                    I’ve gotten a brand-new heart
                          But the same old Soul
