Heartbreak, A New Age Haiku Trilogy

Heartbreak, A New Age Haiku Trilogy

Soft Fur, Hard Tears

I used to rub your back at night, for I loved the feel of your soft fur.

And you loved the way it felt for you, and I’d listen to you purr.

But now the only thing I rub, is the moisture from my eyes.

Hard tears that now fall every night, with my never-ending cries.

Dear Yesterdays, Dire Tomorrows

I look back to so many years ago, the “dear yesterdays” of our past.

When I never worried about the next one, for I thought forever would they last.

But all at once you had to leave, and the “dire tomorrows” then set in.

From the ecstasy I shared with you, to the heartbreak that now begins.

Never-ending Love

My little soulmate had to leave, and with him went my heart.

For there’s been nothing left inside of me, since the night we had to part.

But outside I’m so overflowing, with the tears of my lonely soul.

It will cry like this forever, until it joins his, and is whole.
