Heatwave

For the crazy heat where I am...

Heatwave

Like the flames spewing from a dragons maw,
Heat assaults us from every angle,
Until we are no more than a puddle in the dirt,
Flies flocking to our bodies 'till we're drowning in the swarm,
Harsh glaring rays from the sun blind us,
Stumbling around, tripping on every rock, pebble and stone,
Heat rolling off our bodies,
Heatwaves killing us,
Heatwaves cooking us until we're crispy.
