Heavy Night

Heavy Night

Heavy night drapes its cloth,

Over darks salty sea froth.

Night lights prick blackness alive,

As elegant wings soar through the nights' sky.

Waves lash against craggy black rocks,

Jeers and jostles and fiercely mocks.

Its humble obstacles that lay in the way,

Surrender to the roar of the oceans play.

A twig, a bottle, and gritty cold sand,

Reach their destination of desolate land.

And wraps its icy chill around a long lost shoe,

Devours the items of visitors few.
